HELPING OTHERS LEARN PROGRAM COMING UP!

HELPING OTHERS LEARN
Helping Others Learn is a five-week series of sessions designed for people who provide knowledge to individuals or groups as volunteers or in a paid position. It’s being offered free of charge by East Prince Seniors Initiative and is open to anyone who is interested....
Everyone is a teacher. Whether you teach community school, run a fitness class, help seniors learn about computers, work one-on-one with someone, or do presentations on any number of topics…….you are teaching! This program is going to help increase effectiveness as mentors, instructors, presenters, coaches, and facilitators. Instructor Maitland MacIsaac is a learning consultant who will cover many topics in a fun and supportive environment.
East Prince Seniors Initiative is pleased to offer this five-week program at no cost to participants. No previous formal training or experience is required. The program is based on the belief that people bring to the class the prior knowledge and life experience necessary to be successful in mentoring, coaching, presenting, or teaching.
Sessions will be 2 ½ hours in length and will be offered on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. They will be held in Room 3 at Credit Union Place, beginning January 27th and running through February 3rd, 10th, March 3, and 10th.
To register or find out more details, please call Gloria at EPSI 902-888-2177, email director.epsi@live.ca , or drop by the EPSI office in Credit Union Place.
The program is open to anyone. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to get together with others to learn new skills or improve on the skills you already have. PLEASE NOTE: Maximum number of participants for the program is 12. Register early!
