BEGINNER COMPUTER SKILLS TRAINING

Parkview Senior Citizens Club and East Prince Seniors Initiative are partnering to deliver a beginner computer course to 10 participants.    The course is a wee bit different in that we have an instructor (Dawn MacInnis) as well as several volunteers from EPSI and Parkview (shown above) who are assisting learners at their individual work stations.    This added assistance, we believe, can make beginners feel more comfortable and have their questions answered immediately as they are attempting to learn new skills.    This is a 6-week pilot project, and we hope to see much more computer training in future.   EPSI was fortunate to receive funding through New Horizons in order to purchase new computers for this purpose.    Stay tuned for other computer training opportunities in future.
